Starbucks disclosed its board approved further actions under the “Back to Starbucks” strategy, closing approximately 1% of its more than 18,000 North America coffeehouses—about 250 locations. The company expects $300 million in restructuring charges, including roughly $200 million in cash costs for lease exits and employee separations and $100 million in non‑cash disposal and impairment charges. Closures are expected to be completed by fiscal 2026.
