How to read the peer comparison

This table places the company beside others in the same industry on a few common measures. Comparison adds context that a single company's numbers cannot give on their own.

  • Valuation multiples like P/E and P/B are most meaningful within the same industry, because different industries naturally trade at different levels. Comparing a company only to its peers is more useful than to the whole market.
  • Return measures (ROE, ROCE) show how efficiently each company turns capital into profit. A company well ahead of or behind its peers here is worth understanding.
  • No single column decides anything. A beginner reads the row across — valuation, returns, and size together — and treats the highlighted current company as one data point among its peers.
  • Use the sortable headers to rank peers on any measure, but remember that "cheaper" or "higher" on one metric is a starting question, not an answer.
